Canyon Ridge is a residential community in Riverside, California. Residents enjoy being close to modern conveniences and recreation.

Canyon Ridge features single family homes that are close to freeways, stores, restaurants, and venues. Shopping centers nearby include the Galleria at Tyler regional mall, Main Street downtown, and Riverside Plaza which has an open-air facility.

There are also private schools in Riverside like La Sierra Academy, Woodcrest Christian High School, and Islamic Academy of Riverside. And higher education is offered at institutions like the University of California, Riverside.

Canyon Ridge is near the California Citrus State Historical Park which is an open-air museum. It features the history of the citrus industry which plays a large part in the development of California. Established in 1984, this 248-acre park was created to reflect a 1900s city park and includes an interpretive structure, picnic area, amphitheater, activity center, and demonstration tree orchards. There is a museum and antique citrus grove farm equipment is displayed around the park.

Residents and visitors can also go to the UCR Botanical Gardens which has many plant varieties among its 40 acres. There are also four miles of walking trails. You will find the one surviving Parent Navel Orange Tree in Riverside and this tree is where all navel oranges on the west coast descended from.

The City of Riverside is the birthplace of California’s citrus industry. It is about an hour east from Los Angeles and is the Inland Empire’s most populous city. There are three hospitals here: Riverside Community Hospital, Kaiser Foundation Hospital, and Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center. The city’s biggest employers include the County of Riverside, the local school districts, UCR, and Kaiser Permanente. It is the home of many accounting, technology, architectural, legal, and banking firms.
